Kimpton Da An

I had an excellent stay at the Kimpton in Taipei. The location is ideal, the design is beautiful, and the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between boutique and refined. The social activities were a standout — the evening social hour was a great way to unwind, and the late-night hot chocolate was such a thoughtful and cozy touch. What truly set this property apart, however, was the service. This was the friendliest service I have experienced at any Kimpton. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I checked in. What impressed me most was that the hospitality didn’t stop at checkout. Even hours after I had officially checked out, while waiting for my flight, the team continued to assist and make sure I was comfortable. That level of care is rare and speaks volumes about the culture of this hotel. It’s also worth noting that this is an extremely pet-friendly property. You’ll see plenty of dogs around the hotel, which adds to the warm and lively atmosphere. If you have allergies, you may want to consider that. But if you love dogs — or travel with one — this is absolutely your place. I would gladly stay here again.

We loved our stay at the Kimpton. All the staff in the lobby were fantastic and they have created such a friendly and relaxing atmosphere that is quite unique for a chain hotel. We personally preferred the relaxed and informal service as it still delivered to expectations and they were always proactive. The snack and free drinks in the lobby was a nice touch. Our premium king room had ample space and was spotless throughout. The shower was of a really good size and pressure. The room was well sound proofed and the blackout curtains and sliding door meant we slept really well. The breakfast was off a menu, but there was enough choice and it was of great quality. As other reviews mention, the yoghurt and granola could be better. I would highly recommend the breakfast in the room one day - delicious and served on time. The location is great - you are a 60 second walk away from the MRT. If you enjoy burgers, make sure you try out Bounce Back Burgers around the corner. Only slight bit of feedback is to get more bar staff on, as we waited over 20mins for a beer as the waitress ended up pouring then. The guy behind the bar took over 25mins to make two cocktails.

I stayed one night in Taipei while traveling back to Italy from the Philippines and chose the Kimpton Da An for my stay in the city. I must say it was an excellent choice—I absolutely loved this hotel.
We arrived late in the evening and check-in was quick and smooth. The staff even asked if we would like to enjoy the hot chocolate available for guests or a glass of wine, even though happy hour had already ended some time earlier. As an IHG Diamond Elite member, we received a very welcome upgrade and were assigned a room with a lovely terrace overlooking Taipei 101. In addition, we found a nice welcome note and some snacks waiting for us in the room. The room was tastefully decorated, clean, and spacious, and featured a water purifier to avoid single-use plastic bottles. The bathroom had a large shower with excellent water pressure and a Toto washlet. Breakfast is à la carte, with a good selection of sweet and savory options. Unfortunately, due to my very short stay in Taipei, I didn’t have the chance to fully enjoy the hotel and all it has to offer, as I spent my only full day exploring the city. Even in this regard, the Kimpton Da An proved to be the right choice for me: its location is perfect for discovering Taipei. The neighborhood is lively and full of shops, bars, and restaurants, and the MRT station is just a short walk away. Of course, the nightly rate is not cheap, but if you can find a good deal, the Kimpton remains an excellent choice for staying in Taipei.
I hope to return in the future and enjoy a longer stay in this city, which I truly loved.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Kimpton Da An to celebrate our 10th anniversary and it was truly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The staff are exceptionally well trained and go way beyond expectations — they offered to book a car for us before we even asked and during the afternoon cocktail hour they perfectly anticipated which snacks we would love. It felt so personal and thoughtful! The hotel’s location is just few minutes away from the metro station is also perfect — super convenient for anyone touring around Taipei!
