we sampled four different flavors, rum raisin pistachio, lychee, and honey as well as a salty cheese, which is in my words the flavors of Panna cotta. Each reflected the spirit of their flavor in depth and creaminess. Highly recommend recommend recommend is one of my all-time gelato moments. Tip of my hat to this establishment. You made my day. An additional bonus was the views from the third floor.

Actual Italian ice cream, the best I had in Taiwan by far.

I ordered chocolate rose and roasted oolong tea flavors, along with an iced Americano, and then took my ice cream upstairs. Climbing the narrow stairs, the upstairs space featured bright white walls and a small terrace with a glass curtain wall. From the windows, I could see the rooftops of the Wu Temple and part of the Grand Matsu Temple. The houses in this area are quite historic, closely nestled alongside the two nearly 400-year-old temples. From the terrace, I could clearly see the dragon on the roof of the Wu Temple and the eaves of the Grand Matsu Temple. The oolong tea topping had a fermented aroma reminiscent of ripe fruit, and I could even taste the tiny tea leaves as it melted, releasing its fragrance in my mouth. The chocolate had the unique banana flavor of Fuwan chocolate, with a sweet and sour plum taste and a lingering rose aroma. Although it's an ice cream shop, the coffee wasn't lacking either; the ratio of coffee, ice, and water was perfect, resulting in a smooth texture with hints of dried pineapple and roasted walnuts, a perfect complement to the ice cream. The restaurant's menu is ingeniously designed, using many local ingredients. The space also revitalizes the old houses on this fortune-telling street. You can enjoy ice cream while experiencing the sensuality of Taiwan. It is the most recommended ice cream shop recently.

📍A small shop surrounded by temples, hidden in an alleyway on Section 2 of Yongfu Road. It's at the beginning of the alley, so it's not hard to find. 🏠The shop's name, "Sushanyuan," has a very Chinese feel, but it actually sells Italian gelato. The logo design is distinctive and memorable. The interior space is tiny, really tiny! The staff said there's dine-in seating on the 3rd floor. Walking up from the 1st floor, the 3rd-floor seating area is clean, bright, and has a great view; the space is very well designed. There's a minimum spend of one item per person for dine-in, either coffee or gelato. 🍦The gelato flavors are very unique. Two scoops cost $130 for two flavors. I went on Christmas Day, so I bought the Christmas special – the Snow Mound Cone for $180. You can choose three flavors, and the snow mound is topped with a sweet and sour strawberry, like a Santa hat on the gelato – very cute! The most memorable flavor was the Pistachio flavor – it was delicious! In conclusion, you can feel the care and attention put into a shop. Keep up the good work, owner!
