A 209-key resort opened February 1991 on a 142-hectare former sugar-and-coconut plantation tracing to the late 1790s — Robert Trent Jones II's 18-hole course wraps the property, with the West Indian Colonial gingerbread-trim spa cottages tucked into the gardens. Three pools, three signature kitchens (EsQuilina, On the Dune, Mango), and the Sea Turtle Conservancy partnership the property has run since opening.
