Elizabeth Street Garden occupies a former Nolita schoolyard filled with salvaged ornamental statuary—sphinxes, cherubs, and urns arranged among plantings—creating an outdoor room of improbable enchantment in one of Manhattan's densest neighborhoods. Its survival, the subject of years of community advocacy, has become a cause for New York's garden defenders.

City-owned & privately leased, this garden is open to the public who can explore its sculptures.
