Nestled in the bustling heart of Saigon at 02 Thi Sách, Bến Nghé, Quận 1, Rokusho Saigon offers an inviting escape into the world of contemporary Japanese dining. With a stellar rating of 4.7 from over 300 reviews, this restaurant is celebrated for its modern, cozy atmosphere that blends traditional Japanese elements with a chic twist. Guests can enjoy beautifully presented dishes crafted from fresh, high-quality ingredients, particularly the seafood and sashimi, which have left a lasting impression on diners. I visited Rokusho twice, two days in a row. And that alone says a lot about how much I enjoyed the experience. The sashimi was exceptional, especially the Chutoro, which was incredibly fresh with a rich, buttery texture. I also tried Uni for the first time here, and it was amazing, luxuriously creamy, gently sweet, and full of ocean freshness. Another standout was the Tonkatsu Sando. The moment it arrived, the aroma was irresistible. The katsu was juicy and tender with a perfectly crisp exterior, tucked between black toast that was airy, light, and beautifully crunchy. What truly makes Rokusho special, though, is the service. The entire team was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. A special thanks to Huy, who was especially helpful and made the experience even more enjoyable. In my opinion, this is currently one of the best izakaya restaurants in Saigon. It’s no surprise, considering the restaurant is backed by two Michelin-starred chefs, Naotaka Ohashi of Tirpse and Hisashi Udatsu of Udatsu Sushi. A truly memorable dining experience, and I will definitely be back again.

Some of the best Japanese I've had. Anywhere. The freshness of the seafood was incredible. Really enjoyed the tuna belly in particular. The steaks were amazing too. Inventive menu, some great finds like the orange kim chi! A highlight in HCM

Fantastic Japanese restaurant. The place is beautiful, and the restaurant’s design is stunning as well. The service is excellent, and there are many different options on the menu. Everything is exquisite - truly, everything is very good. It’s an izakaya, so there’s a wide variety of dishes rather than a focus on just one thing, which makes the menu great for sharing and trying different items. No matter what you order, it’s delicious. This is our second time here, and once again, everything was incredibly tasty!

One of the best modern Japanese restaurants I’ve been to. Their dishes aren’t too creative/complicated but they did them well. Right texture and level of seasoning, delightful flavours. My favourites are beef tataki, Japanese spaghetti, katsu sando, and matcha tiramisu. Price is high but reasonable for the area and setting. Good service; bonus point for refilling our tea.
